By-Wire Control
The by-wire control system interfaces with the vehicle and performs essential vehicle control functions electronically including braking, throttle, shifting, and steering.
Perception & Localisation
The perception & localisation system senses the local environment (through sensors like radar, lidar, and cameras) plus the precise position, direction, and speed of the vehicle to inform the onboard autonomy system.
On-Board Automation
The on-board autonomy system considers the perception and localisation information and it’s understanding of it’s mission to manipulate the by-wire system in real time to execute the mission.
Command & Control
The off-board C&C system orchestrates the movement of autonomous vehicles and determines mission allocation, transmitting missions to individual vehicles and monitoring mission execution.
